ABOUT Dr. Amitava Sengupta
Dr. Amitava Sengupta (NEWBORN & CHILD SPECIALIST) Fellowship Neonatology (Neth), FNNF, MICP, DCH, MBBS.

He is a graduate (1976) and postgraduate (1981) from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and also served at Utrecht Childrens Hospital, Netherlands in Neonatal Intensive Care.

He is a renowned Neonatologist and Paediatrician known across India and overseas for his expertise and excellence in Care of Newborns and delivering Neonatal Intensive Care.

He is associated as Medical Advisor / Executive Director with various International and National NGOs related to dedicated childrens work and is the founder member and Chairperson & Executive Director of the Development and Supportive Care (DSC) Foundation for Newborn & Children (India)

He has been involved as a pioneer in Neonatal Intensive Care at different prestigious hospitals in Delhi & NCR since 4 decades.

He is National Faculty and has been actively involved in Teaching Programs, organizing and conducting conferences, workshops and CMEs for various Academies and National bodies like National Neonatology Forum (NNF) India, Indian Academy of Paediatrics and DSC Foundation for Newborn & Children (India)

He has been training Neonatal Caregivers across India in Developmentally Supportive Care (DSC) in the NICU and hence sensitizing and teaching them the infinite importance of improving functional outcome, having positive neuro developmental outcome and achieving the Gold Standard Of INTACT SURVIVAL Of The Preterm, Fragile And/Or Critically Ill Infants.

Approximately 2000 Neonatal Caregivers have been trained by Dr. Amitava and his team in the DSC Workshops held across India and overseas till now.
